You are beautiful. Full stop.

Written by Jo Lee | 1st December 2021

Really? Me, beautiful.. let me unpack this a bit.. you may be happy/like parts of you, but do you truly see yourself as God sees you.  Which my friend… is beautiful.

Apart from our GodFirst RISE team and one other church, I’ve never heard teaching on this subject before, girls we need to open our eyes and look in the mirror and see the beauty before you.

It’s clear, so clear from scripture what God actually thinks about you.. all you need to do, is listen to His voice and believe it.  Here’s four fab scriptures..

Number one

You are made in His image - Genesis 1 v 27

Do you think he made a mistake when you were created? Absolutely not. He doesn’t make mistakes!

Number two

You were planned, designed and created even before the world (quite a long time!) Ephesians 1 v 4.

Just take a look at creation, it’s beautiful, it’s creative, it’s unique, it’s designed, it’s breathtaking.  You too were designed.  God doesn’t make mistakes.. not even one and you my friend are one of his most beautiful creations. You’re his handiwork, his masterpiece, again look at creation for proof! Ephesians 2 v 10

Number three

You are fearful and wonderfully made. Psalm 139 v 14

Wow... not just thrown together because ‘you’ll do” but wonderfully made. Wow!  You are clothed in strength and dignity, not a woman who doesn’t ‘live up to the worlds view’.

Number four

You are altogether beautiful my darling, there is no flaw in you. Sol. 4 v 7.

I think that says it all here.

The big question what ‘voice’ are you listening to?

Do you spend more time ‘drinking in’ what you see and hear all around you? Does social media, TV, radio, magazines, adverts, music actively have a bigger part of your ear and eye space than the word of God, and listening to Fathers voice?

Flaws, imperfections who says that they are flaws?  Who? Who!

Again I ask you what voice are you listening to? The world around us is about comparison, fitting in, being perfect, perfect skin, figure, having the perfect house, job, kids, car.. the list is endless and draining!

Truth is powerful, truth transforms and when you believe truth rather than listening to the lies that pop into your head that say the opposite, you can move forward.

Ask Father what He thinks about you, get deep into the bible - find this stuff for yourself, get ready to hear truth, and start believing you are the most beautiful woman. You are no mistake.  God didn’t mess up.

You. Are. Beautiful. End.
